The Republican Party – No Laughing Matter
It’s safe and obvious to say that we are in a time of crisis, not only in the States, but around the world. Our enigmatic leader has been doing what he can to bring together two extremely strong ideologies in order to put our country back on track. Yet, there seems to be an ongoing circus-style revolt from the Republican party.
It seems as though the Republican Party has lost it’s identity. Years under the Bush regime has flat-lined the way people look at them as leaders and their ideals altogether. It seems the only people supporting their positions these days are backward thinking right wing nuts like that toxic whale of a human Rush Limbaugh. In the search for their identity the Republican party has been throwing names into a hat and picking them out randomly. Looking for someone with some type of charisma and style that can energize their party. What they’ve shown us is down-right demeaning and shows exactly what the Republican party thinks of the American people.
Exhibit A: Bobby Jindal. After Obama spoke to Congress in an effort to unify their thinking on his economic stimulus. The Republican party allowed this guppy to speak to the American people, in an effort to showcase a Republican rebuttal. What we received instead was a dishonest story about Katrina and a man who addressed his “constituents” as though they were kindergarten children hearing a story before nap time. If you haven’t seen this video yet here it is:
What’s more is that the story Bobby Jindal shared about being in the Sheriff’s office during Katrina is a flagrant lie. Reports indicate that Jindal was nowhere near the storm and not even in the same state when this occurred. Apparently, he overheard the story months later and decided to add himself to the mix. The only reason I hold this story to high regard is because this man tried to use his story as an example of Republican’s refusing to use federal aide during Katrina. Katrina happened on a Republican President’s watch and with a Republican President’s reaction. Shame on this governor for trying to invoke a different history and shame on the GOP for thinking that the American people are this stupid.
Exhibit B: Joe “The Plumber”. No words can describe truthfully how much I despise this gnat of a human being. When is his 15 minutes of fame going to be up? Apparently, not for a while. It seems that the GOP has decided to use Joe “the annoyance” to advocate anything they think will reach the lowest denominating citizen. The problem with Mr. Plumber is that most of what he says are all subjective and based on his warped sensitivities and not factual. The people listening and watching Joe use it as fact! Joe once scoffed at the idea of reporters in the field in Iraq and then was hired by a website to interview people in the field in the Gaza Strip.. contradiction much?
Exhibit C: Rush Limbaugh. This guy is toxicity in human form. He preaches hate, racism and anti-nationalism. He claims to be a nationalist, yet all he does is condemn the Obama Presidency and asks his consituents to disagree with anything and everything Obama says. He even declared that he HOPES Obama fails. In our current situation, I don’t think we should be hoping that our President fails. If that’s not treason, I don’t know what is. What’s worse is that the GOP uses this talking head as an influence on the people. They peddle their notions and ideas through his lame talk show and stand by his warped judgement.
Despite the characters in the sicko-show that is the Republican party. They are no laughing matter. They are a plague on our society and our way of life. They use their power to manipulate things and are closed minded and backwards. Shame on them.
