Most Anticipated ‘08 Release ~ Jack’s Mannequin

The music scene nowadays is full of pop idols, lip syncers, horribly lyrically tribes and rappers who rap about… crap…. But within this shattered landscapes sits a band that has (in my opinion) a solid sound, an honest approach to song writing, and an impeccable ability to write the catchiest and most motivating music you’ll ever listen to! If you haven’t heard of Andrew McMahon and his newest musical experiment Jack’s Mannequin.. then you better get your ticket and jump aboard the boat… the new CD is promising to be the best alternative/pop/punk album of the year.. and the first single Resolution, is up for your listening pleasure.

Early in 2005 while preparing for the release of Everything In Transit, JM’s first CD, Andrew McMahon (once the front man for Something Corporate) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. What occurred next was pure musical genius. The album was released with songs of strenght, despair, hope, friends, love, and happiness. McMahon has the uncanny ability to trap human emotion in his melodies and lyrics. If you haven’t picked up Everything In Transit, do yourself a favor and get it!

Now onto present day JM news! Well it’s official, The Glass Passenger, the followup to 2005s CD is going to be released on September 30th. The first single “The Resolution” will be released tomorrow on an iTunes EP entitled “Ghost Overground”. Check out the single on myspace and then buckle down and pay $5 for the EP.
